The Cajun Connoisseur
After another break, and after dark, it was time for another round at the Logan Square Food Truck Social.
My friend had his sights on the lobster poboy from The Cajun Connoisseur and I still had more trucks to hit, so I went with the half order of lobster mac and cheese.
He hands me the container and cautions that it's hot. Good thing it was covered and good thing I had a fleece because I dropped that little fireball into my pocket.
While it cooled a bit, I had time to check with the other two trucks on my hit list for a bit of strategery.
All I can say is this is some of the best mac and cheese I've eaten. Spicy, creamy, ooey gooey, cheesy perfection.
We even returned the next day with a new group of people (me considerably more sober) and I was pleased to learn that my prior exceedingly enthusiastic assertion held up.
My friend tells me the poboy was amazing and I really wanted to try it, but it'll have to wait until next time.
Because I will definitely be back.
