Courageous Bakery

It was only fitting that the very first stop on my Bizarro mission would be tied to the very first food truck I visited. Not even one week into its opening, I stopped by for a visit and a taste. Quite convenient that I also was on my way to my folks' place in the city and needed to bring a dessert. What better than to arrive with the very cupcakes I've been taunting them with all summer.

It was great to see Laura in her new environment: hustling behind a counter and graciously handling the never-ending flow of customers. Aside from my take out (a dozen assorted cupcakes and half dozen assorted pastries), I ordered the french toast bread pudding. All bread pudding should be made with yesterday's donut holes. That was crazy, crazy good.

Later that night, I passed on the cupcakes since those were for others to enjoy, and I sampled the pistachio croissant and the bacon date scone. Sorry I didn't grab a snap, but I will tell you this. Go and get that bacon date scone. Like, right now.

Seeing the Green Machine in front was the icing on the cake (ha ha ha)
