At long last!

This truck has been on my hit list for months now. Not too active on Twitter. Doesn't roll the streets for lunch. Very short notice at events. Sheesh. I had my work cut out for me.

Enter Fischman's Liquors' Tap This food truck and beer event every other Thursday in Jefferson Park. Huzzah!

I've been going regularly for the past three times now with my brother and his hub, and now have two other regulars that we meet there. Extra bonus: I've befriended the dude behind the curtain (what up BDub!). So the other week when I hit up Toasty Cheese after a Whole Foods Schaumburg trip, it occurred to me: they would be great for Tap This.

"Yo BDub, make it happen!" I tweet. "Great call, you genius you!" he replies. And before you know it, BrandBBQ is on the boards.

Confused? Me too! But what the hell, I landed me a new truck, so it's all win!

And so it was with great pleasure that I checked this truck off the list and sat down to some burnt ends with mac 'n cheese and some delicious (and obscenely low priced) beers. I'm a sucker for smoked meats and this truck brings the goods. Even better, they have a brick and mortar restaurant, which makes them a contender for my Bizarro mission. Hell yes!

Oh, and did you catch that text on the front of the truck? Eat the fat. Nice! And there's a flying pig as a hood ornament. Well done fellas.
