ChiTown Tamale

Ok, this is becoming actual work now.

Another walk to 600 West Chicago. Sure, there are a couple trucks hitting the Merch area every day. But I need new blood.

ChiTown Tamale is another truck I've been watching for some time now: hitting Aon Center and University of Chicago on a regular basis. But this day it'll be in walking distance. Life is good.

Come on Eva, time to hit the road!

First off, let me apologize to the other trucks out there: you can't really look any more badass than this truck. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the logo needs to be on a t-shirt. And I want that t-shirt. Rumor has it, there may be a t-shirt coming. I must have that t-shirt.

Ordering time: pork tamales for me please. Oh, but it's more than that. It's pork roasted with Mexican chocolate, pumpkin seeds and chilis. Hello!

Great tamales. I like that you can order them individually so you can mix and match. Sadly, we didn't get any sauce, which was likely an oversight (shit happens). That would have taken it to another level.

Next time. Along with that horchata that sometimes makes the menu...

The Food:
Puerco de Cacao tamales
That is a t-shirt waiting to happen.
