Hummingbird Kitchen

Look at that beast! Intimidating for such a tiny bird.

Truck two at Food Truck Social and I can hardly contain myself. Hummingbird is one of those Ultra Rare trucks because they rarely (do they ever?) hit the city.

Even better, today they're serving up grass-fed beef burgers with bacon and cheddar. It may surprise some of you that I'm somewhat of a tree-hugger myself so I'm all about grass-fed, organic, locally-grown, hormone-free, yada, yada, yada.

I practice it as often as I can, I just don't preach it. So it's even better when I can hit some of those personal goals from a food truck.

Ok, meal two for both Zach and me. Order up: burgers please!

That was quite the nice handful of meaty goodness.

I'll admit, I was a little sad that it wasn't cooked to order since this is an on-board cooking truck. I am quite fond of a rare burger. But I can also understand the need to have food at the ready when you can have a mega line at any second. That aside, these burgers rocked.

I hope to cross paths with this truck again some day.
